capturing the light
CREATING TINY TREASURES
FOR THE HOME
Welcome to my little studio, where I spend many hours working on a little magic to unfold on a canvas.
Although I really paint because I love the process, I also like to share my work with you. So I have put together a little shop which I will fill with my creations.
You’ll find that many of the pieces are quaint and delicate immersions of the landscape. In every piece, there is always something about the landscape that I find interesting and worth capturing. Every piece is a study on subject matter, value, color and composition. Pieces that feel quiet and calm are especially dear to my heart, as life is a collection of accumulating these sweet moments… if only we can just become still and learn to see.
It’s been a pleasure to pop these archival panels in a high-end plein air frame to see the whole process come to together, ultimately making make them a perfect purchase or gift for any home. I’ve quickly run out of wall space at my home, so I hope these can find a new home in yours.
My why
Art is a nonstop process of inspiration, process, re-evaluating, until one day it finally all clicks together. The brush flows where it wants to all on its own, the colors guide you through shape and composition, and after losing yourself for hours, you take a step back, and you smile.

Behind every work are hours and hours of trials and errors. I mostly use my many sketchbooks to collect ideas, and sketch the landscapes I see in my mind.
I have to use whatever moments life allows while working a full time job and raising my daughter. I’m proud that I get to model a create life to her, and she often co-scribbles throughout my sketchbooks or paints along side me. Those are moments that are part of the process, and I cherish them.
When buying from an artist/maker, you’re buying more than just an object/painting; you are buying hundreds of hours of failures and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks & months of pure joy. You aren’t just buying a thing, you’re buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a moment of someone’s life. Most importantly, you’re buying the artist more time to do something they are passionate about.
